Free skin cancer clinic at PCH

On Wednesday, Aug. 10, Dr. John Stephens with Dermatology Inc. will be conducting free skin cancer screens in at Putnam County Hospital.

The screen is an annual event that is sponsored by the Putnam County Hospital Cancer Center.

"Early detection is the key to treating melanoma," Casey Hendrixson, Cancer Center RN, said.

"We offer the free screen to encourage more people to take an interest in their health and to protect themselves from cancer," she continued.

The screen will be conducted by appointment only. To schedule a skin cancer screen, contact the Cancer Center at 655-2581.

The screens will take place from 3-5 p.m. in the Cancer Center, located on the second floor of the hospital.
