National Night Out set for Tuesday at Robe-Ann Park
The 10th annual National Night Out is set for 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2 at Robe-Ann Park in Greencastle.
The committee has been meeting for several months putting together another big event.
As always all the fun, activities and food will be free to those in attendance. Everyone will need to visit one of the registration areas first to get a wrist band before participating.
There will be more than 35 booths with other activities available. Several new partners are taking part this year.
Everyone will play a bingo card that will ultimately lead to the last station -- the Putnam County Safe Schools booth -- where each child will receive a basic bag of school supplies.
The evening will start with a rookie run with police officers and then go right into the activities of the evening, including free raffle prizes.
The pool will open for free swimmming from 6-8 p.m. Food will include hot dogs, pizza, snow cones, popcorn, apples and drinks.
The dunk tank will have administrators from county schools.
Rain date is Thursday, Aug. 4, same time and location.
Anyone with questions is invited to call 653-9342.
