County Jail

Three people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Thursday

* At 2:37 p.m. Kandice Geree Shlayev, 31, Greencastle, was housed at the jail on a writ of body attachment.

* At 11:41 a.m. Jason Aaron Cole, 29, Clayton, was taken into custody on a warrant.

* At 11:40 a.m. Justin Jay Flatt, 23, Franklin, was booked in on a warrant.

City Police

One recent citation was issued by Greencastle City Police officers.

* At 1:41 a.m. Wednesday, Jordan Williams, 19, Campbellsville, Ky., was cited by Officer Elsiana Crosby.

Stopped on East Washington Street, Williams was ticketed for failure to signal.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department recently responded to two dispatches.

* At 4:33 p.m. on Thursday, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 1 E. Hanna St. The alarm was determined to have been set off unnecessarily and was reset before returning to station.

* At 8:13 a.m. on Friday, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 2000 S. Jackson St. GFD checked the air-handling system on the building and found nothing. The building's maintenance crew subsequently reset the alarm.
