Born July 6, 1933 in Greencastle, Kaye was the daughter of Glenn and Nellie Bock Flint. She married the love of her life Robert McKamey on Nov. 6, 1953 in Greencastle, where they celebrated almost 61 years of marriage before his death in 2014.

Kaye is descended from early pioneers of Putnam County and grew up on the beautiful family farm in Clinton Township owned by her parents. She and Bob built a home very close to her childhood home and lived there for many years before Bob's transfer to Miami by Lone Star Cement in 1979. They lived in Hialeah, Fla., until his retirement, after which they moved north.
