SP elementary basketball forms due soon

Signup forms for the South Putnam Elementary Basketball program should be turned in this Thursday.

Boys in grades 3-6 should turn in the forms to the school office.

North Putnam basketball to host trivia night

The North Putnam boys basketball program will be hosting its inaugural trivia night competition on Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. in the middle school commons.

Each trivia team may consist of 6-8 people. Entry fee is $100 per team. There will be prizes awarded for the top three teams. Trivia categories will be (but not limited to) sports, American history, politics, pop culture, music and movies and TV.

There will also be several raffles throughout the evening with great prizes, including Pacers tickets, Purdue men’s and women’s basketball tickets as well as football tickets.

Food and drink will also be available.

Greencastle youth basketball registration under way

Registration is under way for the Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department’s youth basketball program.

The program is for young basketball players of diverse skill levels in the Greencastle Schools, grades 1-6.

The youth basketball program provides instruction on how to play and improve the basic fundamental skills of basketball.

The program includes team practices, skill reviews, and a competitive game schedule.

Practices will be held once a week starting the end of November, with Saturday games beginning in January.

A registration fee of $55 is due Oct. 28. The fee goes up to $65 after the 28th.

All early entrants you will be entered for a chance to win an autographed ball signed by an Indiana Pacers Player.
