2016 Horse and Pony Club Awards
The Putnam County 4-H Horse and Pony Club held its annual awards banquet last month.
Among those receiving awards were (from left) senior sportsman Wyatt Swafford, rookie of the year Lilly Stanley, junior sportsman Aubrey Summers, and intermediate sportsman Bree Mahoney-Sutherland.
Senior division awards went to (from left) Whitney Boswell, all-around performance horse; Cody Swafford, superior horse award; Mary Bousman, champion contesting horse; and (not pictured) Payton Lyons, champion contesting horse.
Junior division awards went to (from left) MacKenzie McCollough, champion contesting horse; Cassia Coulter, all-around performance horse; and Izzy Summerlot, champion contesting pony.
The 2016 herdsman award was presented to Sonora Erwin, a young lady who always had a smile on her face, cleaned up the barn area and asked if anything needed to be done.
