Carolyn June Flint

Carolyn June Flint, 81, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016.

Born March 10, 1935 in Rockville, she was the daughter of Elbert Gail and Frances Margritte (Thornton) Irwin.

She was a 1953 graduate of Greencastle High School.

Carolyn was a homemaker. She had also worked seven years at IBM, in the kitchen at Northeast School, and was a demo product sampler at Walmart, Kroger and Marsh.

She was a member of the Putnam County Hospital Guild and did volunteer work at the Putnam County Hospital for several years.

She was a member of the Long Branch Church of Christ.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Donald Flint; her children, L. Diane Baker, Craig Flint and Kent (Stephanne) Flint; sisters Eleanor Buis and Dona (Dale) Pierce; a brother, Donnie (Wilma) Irwin; and five grandchildren, Ryan Garl, Alyssa Flint, Hannah Flint, Keaton Flint and Bryant Flint.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Letha Cofer and Marjorie Wallace; and brothers Robert and infant Francis Gail Irwin.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20 at the funeral home.
