After selling T-shirts he tie-dyed to raise money for the Humane Society of Putnam County, Maddox Gibbons, 8, of Greencastle presents $600 to Sandra Grimes, HSPC president. “I wanted to help our community’s animals because I love animals,” he said. “My mom taught me the purpose of life was to find your gift and give it away.” The money will be used to buy comfort items for shelter dogs in memory of the recent loss of Gibbons’ beloved dog.
