The Putnam County Museum has some events for kids coming up this weekend and it invites families to share some summer fun.

This Saturday, June 10, special guest John Garner will be introducing museum visitors to “Cold Blooded Neighbors,” talking about the lives of fish, reptiles and amphibians. The event will start at 11 a.m. at the Putnam County Museum, 1105 N. Jackson St., Greencastle.

Also on Saturday at 5 p.m., Garner will host an event to show children and adults alike how to plant a butterfly garden. The program will take place at the native plant boxes at the north corner of the porch of the Putnam County Museum.

For more information on these events, persons may contact Garner at 653-4924 or by email at johngailgarner@gmail.com.

The events are free and open to the public, and are made available by museum members and donors.

Persons can pick up a museum membership slip on the way out of the facility.
