City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department recently responded to five dispatches and two medical runs.

• At 12:14 p.m. on Thursday, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 1400 W. County Road 125 South. The alarm was determined to have been activated unnecessarily at the site’s welcome center. GFD returned to station at 12:24 p.m.

• At 3:41 p.m. on Thursday, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 300 S. Warren Dr. The alarm was determined to have been activated unnecessarily due to routine maintenance performed by the alarm company. GFD returned to station at 3:57 p.m.

• At 8:14 p.m. on Thursday, GFD responded to a fire alarm due to smoking at 402 Anderson St. GFD reset the alarm and returned to station at 8:26 p.m.

• At 10:28 p.m. on Thursday, GFD responded to a fire alarm with nothing found at 508 S. Indiana St. GFD returned to station at 10:38 p.m.

• At 1:32 p.m. on Friday, GFD responded to reports of a motor-vehicle accident at 7 W. Seminary St. GFD assisted in the removal of debris and fluids from the roadway before subsequently returning to station at 1:44 p.m.
