Following a week off for the Fourth of July, the Greencastle Civic League hopes to keep the spirit of the holiday going when it resumes the ParkFest summer concert series at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Robe-Ann Park.

The public is invited to the free concert featuring Ron Dye and Chris Wurster playing at Shelter No. 1.

As always, wood-fired pizza from Anthony’s New York Style Pizzeria will also be available for purchase.

Dye, an English professor at DePauw University, enjoys playing a wide range of music, from folk blues and country to soul music.

Wurster, a regular at the Putnam County Playhouse, enjoys playing music in his retirement at local venues such as the Greencastle Farmers Market as well as restaurants and bars.

With ParkFest winding to a close for 2017, Civic League volunteers wish to acknowledge some of the sponsors for this season’s concerts, including Attorney Michael Goss LLC, Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, BPO Elks 1077, Collins Evans Real Estate, Dale Oliver DDS, Greencastle Pediatric Dentistry, Greencastle Rotary Club, Hendricks Power, Hickory Creek at Sunset and HMSB Insurance.

The final installment of ParkFest for this summer is set for Tuesday, July 18 when War Radio, Mike Balka and Steve Michael take the stage.
