County Jail

Five people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Sunday

• At 12:08 a.m. Dakota Collett, 22, Poland, was lodged at the jail for unlawful possession of a syringe.

Saturday

• At 3:36 a.m. Summer Elise McCandless-Brown, 22, Reelsville, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

• At 1:33 a.m. Geoffery Keith Kallner, 29, Greencastle, was housed at the jail for driving while intoxicated with alcohol, driving with a suspended license and public intoxication.

Friday

• At 3:32 p.m. Gary W. Ogburn Jr., 31, Newburgh, was booked in on a warrant for driving with a suspended license.

• At 2:33 p.m. Randy Lee Dearing, 37, Danville, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

City Police

Two recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 1:23 a.m. Saturday, Brittany Rose Davis, 18, Fillmore, was arrested by Capt. Charles Inman.

Stopped on Percy Julian Drive for two counts of possession of a controlled substance and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, Davis was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

• At 11:25 a.m. Friday, Nathan Andrew Kelly Trumbo, 22, Greencastle, was arrested on Ohio Street by Officer Nick Eastham.

Lodged in the Putnam County Jail, Trumbo is facing charges of stalking, invasion of privacy and intimidation. He was also taken into custody on a Putnam County warrant.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated one recent property-damage accident.

• At 9:17 p.m. on Friday, Scott D. Dunbar, 52, Greencastle, was northbound on U.S. 231 in a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica when he hit a deer.

Deputy Robert Soilleux estimated damage at $2,501-$5,000.
