RUSSELLVILLE -- Nationally touring comedian Mike Merryfield makes his Comedy in Crawfordsville debut this week with three shows, including Saturday’s show at Harrison Street Tavern in Russellville, located at 214 N. Harrison St.

The Russellville show will begin at 9 p.m. and will also include series favorite Tony Kordenbrock of Florence, Ky., as a feature act. Crawfordsville comedy series founder Neil Snyder, an area native and frequent emcee, will host and open the Russellville comedy show lineup.

Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door.

The event will last until at least 10:30 p.m. A full bar and menu is available prior to the show, and full bar during the performance.

In a business where too many comics rely on schtick or the latest political joke du jour to get laughs, Wisconsin native Merryfield is refreshingly original.

Merryfield has three albums on iTunes, was winner of season three’s “Trial By Laughter” and runner-up in the 2012 San Francisco Comedy Festival.

Merryfield also has done two hour-long specials for Sirius XM. His debut album was considered for a Grammy nomination. He was one of the “Lucky 21” at the HBO Comedy Festival that aired on TBS.

Merryfield also has been heard on The Bob and Tom Show and seen on FOX, AXS TV and My Network TV.

The show will contain graphic language, including profanity and explicit adult content, and is limited to an audience age 21 and up.
