Adult and Child Neurology now at PCH

Dr. Mellekate Vishwas

Putnam County Hospital has announced that Mellekate Vishwas, MD, a neurologist with UAP Clinic in Terre Haute, will be seeing patients in the third-floor Outpatient Specialty Clinic inside the hospital.

Referrals and appointments are currently being accepted, with his first day in the specialty clinic in Greencastle planned for Oct. 9.

Dr. Vishwas specialized in areas of neurologyepilepsy, ADD/ADHD, headache, stroke, dizziness, vertigo, spinal cord disease, autonomic dysfunction, neuromuscular disorders, neuro-immunology including M.S. and other autoimmune diseases, movement disorders, metabolic and other neurological disorders.

Board certified in neurology with special qualifications in child neurology, he earned his medical degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, received his medical training as research fellow at Harvard Medical School and held his residency/internship at Wake Forest University of Medical Science.

Dr. Vishwas will be seeing patients in the third-floor Outpatient Specialty Clinic at Putnam County Hospital on the second and fourth Monday of every month. Referrals are required from a patient’s doctor. For more information about Dr. Vishwas and his services, persons may call 812-242-3125.
