Pasta for Paws event at fairgrounds Sept. 30

The second annual Pasta for Paws will be Saturday, Sept. 30 from 5-9 p.m. at the Putnam County Fairgrounds.

Dinner will be served from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Serving will include Italian red sauce and pasta along with the traditional trimmings for a true Italian feast.

PPZ Music Mobile DJ will be providing musical entertainment for the evening. A cash bar will be provided by the Putnam Inn.

Face painting and children’s crafts will be available.

Tickets are available at the door for $10 each and can also be purchased at Rescued Treasures. Children 10 and under eat free.

Proceeds from this event will support the Humane Society of Putnam County’s efforts to provide new isolation kennels for newly received dogs. The kennels are necessary to ensure the health of all animals at the shelter.

Again this year there will be a silent auction to help raise the $7,000 needed for the kennels. Some of the silent auction items are donated from local merchants.

Other items include tickets to Holiday World and King’s Island as well as a spa-themed basket, wine and cheese basket and a movie-themed basket. There will also be a live auction for four tickets to Walt Disney World.
