North Putnam basketball shooting league starts Monday

The North Putnam boys and girls basketball programs are hosting a skill development league for boys and girls in grades 3-6.

The league will run for seven days in Oct. and early November, and will consist of skill development stations, contests, and 5 on 5 games.

The league will be run at the North Putnam middle school and high school gymnasiums by coaching staffs from both programs as well as players from both programs.

There is no cost to participants.

Monday — 6-7:30 p.m.

Oct. 11 — 6-7:30 p.m.

Oct. 23 — 6-7:30 p.m.

Oct. 28 — 10-11:30 a.m.

Oct. 30 — 6-7:30 p.m.

Nov. 1 — 6-7:30 p.m.

Nov. 4— 10-11:30 a.m.

Trivia night fundraiser planned

North Putnam’s boys’ basketball program will sponsor its second annual Trivia Night fundraiser on Oct. 28 in the school commons area.

Dinner will be at 6:30 p.m., followed by the trivia competition at 7 p.m.

Teams may have from four to six players, and entry fee is $100 per team.

Potential subject areas for trivia questions include television, history, pop culture, sports, entertainment and politics.

Prizes will be awarded, and raffle drawings will be held.
