Reelsville VFD 5K, annual chili supper

REELSVILLE -- The Reelsville Volunteer Fire Department will host a 5K and a chili supper Saturday, Oct. 28.

The Stop, Drop and Run/Walk 5K will begin at 9 a.m.

Registration is $20, and can be pre-registered or the day of. All participants will receive a prize, as well as age-group winners.

The Reelsville VFD annual chili supper will follow from 4-8 p.m. Cornhole tournaments with cash prizes will begin at 3 and 5 p.m. The entry fee is $20 for each team.

There will also be entertainment and a silent auction of a handmade swing, handmade fire ring, one tri-axle load of gravel with haul and several theme-baskets (one includes a ride to school in a fire truck for a child).

The annual fundraiser has been held for 27 years to raise money for firefighting equipment. The Reelsville VFD was founded in 1961.
