EIGHTH GRADE

• Cascade 66, Cloverdale 35 — Kyle Thomas led Cloverdale with 15 points, while Brady Koosman had 10, Casey Miller had three and Nick Barnett, Logan Rambo and Xavier Evans each had two points.

“We need to work on our help defense,” coach Chad Chrisman said.

• White River Valley 49, Cloverdale 33 — Kyle Thomas led Cloverdale with 18 points, while Brady Koosman had six, Nick Barnett and Casey Miller each had three, Nick Barger had two points and Nate Nees had one point.

“We missed too many layups and open shots,” coach Chrisman said.

• North Putnam 36, Turkey Run 21 — Jayden Simpson led the Cougars with 11 points, while Aaron Pickel had nine.

• South Putnam 30, Turkey Run 15 — The Eagles got out to a quick start making their first three shots while forcing six turnovers, leading 11-6 with the help of five points from Clay Cash. Matthew Goodpaster had eight of his team-leading 12 points to help the Eagles to go into halftime up 24-10. The Eagles continued their scoring in the third quarter by going inside to Ryan Lynch who had nine of his 11 points. Eli Smith rounded out the scoring with nine points. Goodpaster had nine rebounds and Lynch had five.

SEVENTH GRADE

• Cascade 32, Cloverdale 31 — Clayton Peterson led Cloverdale with 16 points, while Zach Thomas, Scottie McGuire and Levi Hilton each had four points and Grant Gentry had two points.

“We missed a lot of free throws that put us in trouble,” coach Billy Boyette said. “When you get those free throws, you must cash in.”

• Cloverdale 38, White River Valley 31 — Clayton Peterson led Cloverdale with 10 points and seven rebounds, while Garrett Monnett, Levi Hilton and Zach Thomas each had five points, Grant Gentry had four points, Scottie McGuire and Carson Hall each had three points and Conner Silcox and Houston Pannell each had two points.

“We played better defense,” coach Billy Boyette said. “The boys helped each other when a player was being screened.”
