The history: North Putnam won 66-51 in the county tournament last year. South Putnam has a 35-26 advantage over the past 30 years.

Key players: Elliot Gross led North Putnam with 20 points against Southmont, while Caleb Duncan added 12. South Putnam’s Allen Plunkett had a career-high total of 37 points against Turkey Run, and averages 22.0 for the season.

Cloverdale (0-1) at Edgewood (0-2)

The coaches: Patrick Rady is in his third year at Cloverdale with a record of 40-16. J.B. Neill is in his second year at Edgewood with a record of 16-12.

So far: Cloverdale lost its opener 92-65 at Terre Haute South. Edgewood has lost 82-37 to Bloomington South and 56-41 to Martinsville.

The history: Edgewood won 77-74 at Cloverdale last year, and has won 23 of the last 26 meetings.

Key players: Jalen Moore had 42 points for Cloverdale in its loss to Terre Haute South. In the loss to Edgewood, senior Chayton Howard led the Mustangs with 15 points and six rebounds, junior point guard Joe Kido had nine points and freshman Trevor Taylor had eight points and five rebounds.

Greencastle (1-1) at West Vigo (0-2)

The coaches: Bryce Rector is in his second year at Greencastle with a record of 9-16. Joe Boehler is in his 10th year at West Vigo with a record of 112-101.

So far: Greencastle has defeated Crawfordsville 51-44 and lost 60-42 to Danville. West Vigo lost 27-26 to North Vermillion and 64-56 to Casey-Westfield (Ill.).

The history: West Vigo won 42-30 at Greencastle last year, and has won 14 of the last 18 meetings.

Key players: Colin York averages 14.5 points per game to lead Greencastle, while Brody Whitaker averages 13.0 and Gavin Bollman averages 9.5. Junior Collin Salyers led West Vigo with 22 points against Casey-Westfield.

South Putnam beat Rockville 54-50, Edgewood 57-52 and Cloverdale 55-50, lost 33-32 to Greencastle and beat Southmont 60-30 and South Vermillion 46-44.

The history: South Putnam won 40-28 last season and has won 14 of the last 24 meetings between the teams.

Key players: North Putnam has a balanced scoring attack, with nine players scoring in its most recent game. South Putnam is led by seniors Lillie Stein and Miranda Bieghler.

Cloverdale (7-1) at Edgewood (5-4)The coaches: Matthew Langdon is in his seventh year at Cloverdale with a record of 54-88. Gary Sims is in his 11th year at Edgewood with a record of 157-99.

So far: Cloverdale beat Turkey Run 85-20, Riverton Parke 65-34, North Central 89-56 and Shakamak 81-30, lost 55-50 to South Putnam and beat North Putnam 57-27, Eastern Greene 74-17 and North Putnam 61-22. Edgewood beat West Vigo 56-20, South Vermillion 66-59 and Greencastle 51-45, lost 78-33 to Bloomington South, 57-52 to South Putnam, 65-40 to Linton-Stockton and 46-45 to Bloomfield and beat Sullivan 44-32 and White River Valley 54-46.

The history: Edgewood won 39-36 at Cloverdale last year and has won both meetings between the teams in the past 15 years.

Key players: Tori Combs leads Cloverdale with averages of 16.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game. Sammie Shrum adds 15.3 points per game and Abby Walker averages 12.2 points per game. Melea Shockney leads Edgewood in scoring at 14.7, while Taylor Acuff scores 9.3 points per game.

Greencastle (5-3) at West Vigo (0-7)

The coaches: Bradley Key is in his ninth year at Greencastle with a record of 117-70. Jonathan Kirchoff is in his first year at West Vigo.

So far: Greencastle lost 51-45 to Edgewood, 50-22 to Owen Valley and 68-40 to Beech Grove, and beat Southmont 53-38, North Putnam 37-19, South Putnam 33-32, Crawfordsville 47-23 and Tri-West 54-46.

West Vigo has lost 56-20 to Edgewood, 34-24 to Shakamak, 62-27 to Terre Haute South, 83-48 to North Central, 52-26 to Clay City, 64-15 to Owen Valley and 54-31 to South Vermillion.

The history: Greencastle won 62-31 at home last year and has won the past six meetings.

The coaches: Jon Sparks is in his sixth year at Southmont with a record of 49-66.

So far: Southmont beat Turkey Run 83-33 and North Putnam 62-55, lost 64-60 to Cascade and beat Delphi 80-72. The Mounties play at North Montgomery tonight.

The history: Cloverdale won 100-62 last year in the sectional. Southmont holds a 21-10 advantage over the past 30 years.

Key players: Justin Howard leads four Southmont players in double figures at 14.5 points per game. Ty Williams averages 13.8, Cam Chadd averages 13.5 and Patrick Scheidler averages 13.0.

Eminence (0-3) at South Putnam (2-0)The coaches: Scott Adams is in his first year at Eminence.

So far: Eminence lost 69-36 to Monrovia, 73-50 to Riverton Parke and 53-43 to White River Valley. The Eels play at North Central tonight.

The history: Eminence won 64-56 on its homecourt last year. South Putnam has a 25-9 advantage over the past 30 years.
