Richard 'Dick' Warner
Richard "Dick" Warner, 68, of Poland, went to be with the Lord do to an extended illness, Friday, Jan. 12, 2018.
Dick was born in Anderson, Ind., March 11, 1949 to Keith and Rosemary (Cummins) Warner.
He married Connie Allen on Nov. 21, 1992, and she survives.
Dick was retired from Inland Fisher Guide in Anderson and retired from the Eastside Church of God and Alexandria Church of God.
He was also a member of the Anderson and Alexandria Bowling Leagues and the Kilbuck Golf League.
He was trustee of Highland Lakeview Association and Deacon of the Oak Grove Baptist Church.
His hobbies included ultralights, sailing, biking, woodworking and kayaking.
Dick's family would like to give a special thank you to all the members of Kindred Hospice for their care throughout Dick's illness.
He is also survived by his father, residing in Florida; sons Shawn Warner (wife Heather) of Bellingham, Wash., and Cory Warner (Dawn) of Summitville, Ind.; grandchildren Emma, Sophie, Chloe and Ivan; two stepchildren and seven step-grandchildren; and brothers Ron Warner of Anderson and David Warner (Chris) of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral services for Dick will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.
Friends and family are invited to gather from 11 a.m. until the service time Thursday.
Private burial will be at a later date at Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson.
