County Jail

Seven people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Thursday

• At 9:20 a.m. Hannah Louise Jordan, 25, Center Point, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 12:09 a.m. Nicole Marie Nale, 19, Greencastle, was taken into custody for public intoxication and being a minor in consumption of alcohol.

Wednesday

• At 5 p.m. Paul Edwin McKinney, 35, Cloverdale, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 12:16 p.m. Nicholas Gage Bishop, 21, Coatesville, was booked in for leaving the scene of an accident.

• At 10:38 a.m. Alan Michael Rogers, 33, Monticello, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

Tuesday

• At 12:36 p.m. Robert E. Tobin III, 37, Ladoga, was taken into custody on a local warrant and an out-of-county warrant.

• At 8:44 a.m. John Michael Fields, 31, Camby, was housed at the jail on a local warrant and on two writs of body attachment.

City Police

One minor accident was investigated recently by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 12:21 p.m. Monday, a two-vehicle mishap was reported on the parking lot at Kroger, 821 Indianapolis Rd.

Officer Josh Smith reported that Addison Gregory, 16, Greencastle, was driving through the lot in a 2011 Ford Fusion when it was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer being backed from a parking space by Sue Beaman, 44, Greencastle.

Beaman said she did not see the Gregory car until the collision had occurred.

Total damage in the accident was estimated at $2,500-$5,000.

Seven recent citations were issued by Greencastle officers.

• At 4:57 p.m. Wednesday, Micheal Muncie, 24, Rosedale, was ticketed by Officer Nick Eastham.

Stopped on Indianapolis Road at Calbert Way, Muncie was cited for having an expired license plate.

• At 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jeffrey Voege, 34, Cloverdale, was cited by Capt. Chris Jones.

Voege was stopped for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense. He received a summons and was released from the scene.

• At 10 p.m. Monday, Donald Sherman, 42, Greencastle, was ticketed by Officer Luke Brown.

Stopped at 10th Street and Avenue D, Sherman was cited for having a false or fictitious registration plate.

• At 3:31 p.m. Sunday, Jeremy West, 41, Greencastle, was issued a summons and a citation by Officer Kyle Lee.

Stopped on U.S. 231 South, West was given summons to appear in court for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense. West was also ticketed for having an expired license plate (September 2017).

• At 8:13 a.m. Sunday, Mallory Dillon, 21, Carmel, was ticketed for speeding by Officer Lee.

Stopped on Washington Street near Durham Street, Dillon was cited for 47 mph in a 30-mph zone.

• At 2:46 p.m. Saturday, William Fox, 28, Greencastle, was issued a summons by Officer Lee.

Stopped at Bloomington and Apple streets, Fox was cited for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense and released from the scene.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated a pair of recent property-damage crashes.

• At 7:57 p.m. on Wednesday, Ashlynn B. Yeley, 18, Roachdale, was eastbound on U.S. 36 in a 2014 Buick Verano when she hit a deer.

Deputy Robert Soilleux estimated damage at $1,001-$2,500.

• At 5:36 a.m. on Monday, Lisa A. Higgins, 54, Greencastle, was eastbound on U.S. 40 just west of County Road 510 East in a 1996 Ford Taurus when she hit a deer.

Deputy Riley Houghton estimated damage at $1,001-$2,500.
