The Putnam County Public Library will host a Tablets and Smartphones Class from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26 for those who need help with a new smartphone or tablet or are considering making a purchase.

The group will discuss the different types of devices available, including the Apple iPad and Android-based Google tablets and smartphones. Attendees will learn basic skills needed to connect to the Internet as well as how to take pictures and videos, use interactive maps, install applications and games, listen to music and watch movies.

A demonstration on how to download free content from the library’s website, including eBooks and audiobooks, is also scheduled.

The class, designed for beginners, is free and open to the public, but registration is required since space is limited. Classes are two hours long with a break.

To sign up for it or any upcoming class, persons can view the library website at PCPL21.org, call Mike at 653-2755 Ext. 118, or stop by the PCPL circulation or reference desks at the library, 103 E. Poplar St., Greencastle.
