County Jail

One person was booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

• At 6:09 p.m. Jerry Allen Harris, 32, Spencer, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

City Police

One traffic citation and three summonses were issued during recent activity by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 5 a.m. Thursday, Chelcee Bentley, 24, Greencastle, was cited for speeding by Officer Luke Brown.

Bentley, who was ticketed for 48 mph in a 30-mph zone on South Jackson Street, near Beveridge Street, was also cited for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

• At 10:21 p.m. Wednesday, Brent Wallace, 33, Greencastle, was stopped on County Road 225 South and issued a pair of summonses by Officer Brown.

Wallace was issued a summons into court for possession of marijuana and a summons for possession of paraphernalia.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated one recent property-damage accident.

• At 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Tabatha R. Brownell, 44, Greencastle, was eastbound on U.S. 36 in a 2000 Ford Taurus when her car hit a deer.

Deputy Tanner Brown estimated damage at $1,001-$2,500.
