Putnam County high school graduations set Friday night, Saturday

Nearly 400 Putnam County students will graduate from high school this weekend in four separate ceremonies at the local schools.

Greencastle High School will be the largest class and first one to turn tassels in 2018 when the annual graduation ceremony commences at 7 p.m. Friday.

GHS will see approximately 121 students receive diplomas during the 2018 ceremony at McAnally Center.

On Saturday, graduation exercises are scheduled at North Putnam, South Putnam and Cloverdale high schools.

First up on Saturday will be North Putnam with approximately 97 students filing into the gymnasium as seniors and leaving as graduates in an 11 a.m. ceremony.

At 1:30 p.m. Saturday, the scene shifts to South Putnam where approximately 81 students will receive their diplomas in a ceremony at the SPHS gym.

A 4 p.m. ceremony at Cloverdale will wrap up Saturday's graduation activity, as well as the school year in Putnam County, as 82 students are scheduled to walk across the gymnasium stage to get their diplomas.
