SPORTS BRIEFS: Greencastle plans summer youth skills camp

Greencastle High School’s boys’ basketball coaching staff will have a three-day summer skills camp from June 20-22.

Boys and girls entering grades 1-8 in the fall are invited to attend the evening camp.

Grades 1-4 will have camp from 5-6:30 p.m., while sessions for grades 5-8 will be from 7-8:30 p.m. All sessions will be in McAnally Center.

Cost is $30 per player, and includes a T-shirt. Topics to be covered during the camp are basic fundamentals of dribbling, passing, shooting, defense and footwork.

Campers will also participate in scrimmage games each day.

Head coach Bryce Rector and assistant coaches Rob York, Craig Whitaker, Parker Aul and Noah Madison will be conducting the camp, along with players from the Tiger Cub program.
