On the Up and Up

Friday, June 8, 2018
While the trust for children that bears her name is Mary Allison’s most enduring legacy in the Putnam County, like so many others Allison also has a stone marking her gravesite in Forest Hill Cemetery. Each year, Mary Allison Children’s Trust board president Jim Jackson (left) places flowers on her grave on behalf of the board. Jackson noticed that her large monument near the Civil War Monument had been tilting and set about to find a solution. It took some time to find the right man for the job, but the board secured the services of Jeff Fordice (right) of Stonesaver Cemetery Restoration to get the monument on the up and up once again. Flowers are designed by Kara’s Country Cottage of Roachdale.
