PCH adding rheumatologist to hospital staff, effective July 16
Putnam County Hospital has announced that beginning July 16, it will have a rheumatologist joining the hospital staff.
Dr. Hassan I. Ahmad, MD (board-certified internal medicine, board-eligible rheumatology) grew up in Fishers and completed his undergraduate degree from University of Michigan.
He obtained his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine, after which he completed his internal medicine residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
Dr. Ahmad has completed his fellowship training in rheumatology at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center where he served as the chief fellow in his final year.
He comes to PCH with expertise in autoimmune diseases and inflammatory arthritis, with focuses in treating rheumatoid arthritis, crystal arthropathies, sjogren’s syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus, osteoarthritis, vasculitis and myositis.
Dr. Ahmad is a member of the American College of Rheumatology, American Medical Association and American College of Physicians.
Fluent in English, Dr. Ahmad can also speak Urdu/Hindi.
