Welcome Back

Monday marks Day 1, Version 2.0 at Tzouanakis Intermediate School, as third, fourth and fifth-graders head back to the building for the first time since Aug. 27. There to greet them are a friendly message on the marquee and the smiling faces of staff members and administrators such as school counselor Jamey Landry, who shares a laugh with third-grader Jamelynn Brown, who nearly walked in the incorrect door. Tzouanakis students could be forgiven if they forgot their morning routines, having spent more than a month attending class at other buildings as experts dealt with the mold and moisture problems plaguing their school.
