County Jail

Twelve people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Monday

• At 1:15 a.m. Christian Lee Hernandez, 20, Terre Haute, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

Sunday

• At 2:58 p.m. Devin Matthew Joyner, 20, Brazil, was taken into custody for auto theft and resisting law enforcement.

• At 1:01 p.m. Nicholas Gage Bishop, 21, Coatesville, was housed at the jail on a local traffic warrant.

• At 1:01 p.m. Ditalian D. Christian, 22, Indianapolis, was booked in on a local warrant.

• At 4:13 a.m. Daren Clinton Bunten, 18, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail for theft, carrying a handgun without a license and possession of marijuana.

• At 4:02 a.m. Cadari Lamont Warren, 18, Indianapolis, was taken into custody for theft, carrying a handgun without a license and possession of marijuana.

• At 3:43 a.m. Lish Dycus, 19, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail for theft, carrying a handgun without a license and possession of marijuana.

Saturday

• At 11:55 p.m. Tommy Dean Wright, 31, South Bend, was booked in for resisting law enforcement and criminal recklessness.

• At 6:38 p.m. Corrine Anastasia Worland, 31, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for unlawful possession of a syringe, possession of a controlled substance and driving while intoxicated-refusal.

• At 4:53 p.m. Loretta Sue Boehm, 37, Cloverdale, was housed at the jail for domestic battery, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

• At 4:30 p.m. Mark Anthony Boehm, 41, Greencastle, was taken into custody for disorderly conduct, invasion of privacy and public intoxication.

• At 11:15 a.m. Chris Lee Broaddus, 45, Indianapolis, was booked in on a local warrant.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to four recent dispatches:

•At 7:26 p.m. on Friday, GFD was dispatched to 109 W. Hanna St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 7:34 and determined that the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm was reset. GFD was back in service at about 7:35 p.m.

•At 11:40 p.m. on Friday, GFD was dispatched to 916 S. College St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 11:45 and determined that the alarm was due to smoking. The alarm was then reset. GFD left at 12:15 a.m.

•At 10:11 p.m. on Sunday, GFD was dispatched to 208 E. Olive St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 10:16 but could not determine a cause. The detector was blown out and then reset. GFD left at 10:30 p.m.

•At 11:04 p.m. on Sunday, GFd was dispatched to 503 S. Indiana St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 11:07 and determined that the alarm was likely activated due to smoke from candles. The alarm was then reset. GFD left at 11:13 p.m.

Additionally, GFD performed four medical assists during this time.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated one recent property-damage crash.

• At 5:27 p.m. on Sunday, Jordan M. Kelly, 25, Greencastle, was westbound on County Road 350 North, attempting to turn northbound onto County Road 325 West in a 2007 Chevrolet Aveo.

Deputy Jeffery Freeman said Kelly was traveling too fast and was unable to negotiate the curve, locking up her brakes and sliding into a telephone pole at the intersection.

The vehicle was towed. Damage was estimated at $2,500-$5,000.
