‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ returns to Tivoli Theatre Oct. 10

SPENCER -- The film classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” will be shown Wednesday, Oct. 10 as the 2018 Spencer Pride LGBTQ+ History Month event.

The admission-free movie will begin at 7 p.m. at the historic Tivoli Theatre in Spencer.

The film was a hit last year with most attendees engaging in “audience participation” activities using theater-approved props. Props will again be on sale this year with proceeds benefiting Spencer Pride Inc.

In addition to the movie, there will be a brief trivia event to promote awareness of LGBTQ+ history. Trivia questions will be based on educational displays the organization will have at more than 20 institutions in October.

The public is invited to attend the Oct. 10 event. There will also be raffles, featuring an assortment of items donated by local businesses.
