Oktoberfest fun on tap Oct. 6 at St. Paul’s Church

Monday, October 1, 2018

The fifth annual Oktoberfest event arrives Saturday, Oct. 6 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Greencastle.

The Knights of Columbus-sponsored public event unfolds from 4-11 p.m. at 202 E. Washington St.

The idea behind the annual event is to bring the community and the parish together for a day of fun and fundraising.

Both indoor and outdoor activities are planned. The event features live music, games of chances, raffle drawings, children’s activities, food, beer (craft and domestic, including creations from Wasser Brewing) and wine.

The popular Terre Haute-based music group The MacDaddys will return to Oktoberfest to perform from 7-11 p.m.

Besides bingo, the church will also host a number wheel, poker booth and pull tabs.

Raffle drawing prizes will include Colts, Notre Dame and Purdue football tickets, Indiana University basketball tickets, as well as tickets for overnight getaways and golf, restaurant gift certificates and more.

Children’s activities -- including a bounce house, face painting, games and prizes -- are scheduled from 4-8 p.m.
