Cataract bean dinner festival set this weekend

The 50th annual Cataract Volunteer Fire Department bean dinner festival will take place at the fire department on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Serving will run from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Besides the beans, food will include Tailgater’s Barbecue, Holmes catfish, Jiffy Treat ice cream, Polish sausage, wood-fired pizza, kettle corn, elephant ears, hot dogs and sloppy joes.

Activities include whack-a-car, a dunk booth, drawings and 100 vendors, including tools, crafts, art, antiques, jewelry, face-painting, T-shirts, survival gear and much more.
