Betty Jane Parrish

Betty Parrish, 82, Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018 and Hendricks Regional Health hospital in Danville.

She was born in Putnam County on Feb. 13, 1936 to Samuel and Elizabeth Taylor.

She is survived by sons Rick (Sheryle) and Tim, daughter Kathy Harris (Rick) and granddaughter Kristin Harris Nelson (Kevin).

Betty was a proud homemaker, wife (to the late Gene Parrish) and also owned Honeycomb Beauty Salon. She enjoyed her family, holidays (especially Christmas), the family garden, hummingbirds, her beauty salon and a love for her dogs and animals.

A memorial/celebration of life service will take place on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 2-4 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church, 51 Ridgeway St., Greencastle, with Pastor Dr. Scott Kallem presiding.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend.
