Sharon L. McFarland

Sharon L. McFarland, 77, of Greencastle, passed away on Monday, Oct. 15, 2018.

She was born Nov. 27, 1940 in Gary, Ind., the daughter of John McFarland and Doris (Cannon) Statner.

Sharon worked as a waitress and cook for 36 years at various restaurants, including Torr's, The Fairway, Nelson's Grill and Ethel's restaurants.

She was a member of the Greencastle Christian Church.

She is survived by her sister, Coweta (husband Don) Patton; half-brothers Wayne (wife Margaret) McFarland and Jim Pat McFarland; a half-sister, Cheryl McFarland; nephews Philip Grove and Dennis Whitaker; and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a half-brother, Steve McFarland, and a stepbrother, Henry L. Nelson.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Friday, Oct. 19 at the Greencastle Christian Church, 620 Primrose Lane. Interment will follow at Cloverdale Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service on Friday.
