South Putnam (1-1) at Eminence (2-2)

The coaches: Todd Hanni is in his first year at Eminence. Greg Dean is in his fifth year at South Putnam.

So far: South Putnam beat Clay City 67-50 and lost 44-40 in overtime to North Putnam.

Eminence lost 63-50 to Monrovia and 65-43 to White River Valley, beat Riverton Parke 49-47 and beat North Central 74-67.

History: South Putnam won 77-45 at home last year and leads the series 21-8 over the past 30 years.

John Harrell prediction: South 65, Eminence 47.

Cloverdale (0-2) at Southmont (1-4)

The coaches: Patrick Rady is in his fourth year at Cloverdale. Jake Turner is in his seond year at Southmont.

So far: Cloverdale has lost 45-42 to Terre Haute South and 88-47 to Edgewood.

Southmont lost 73-42 to South Vermillion, 58-33 to North Putnam, 57-41 to Delphi and 63-29 to Cascade before beating North Montgomery 48-47.

History: Cloverdale won 69-61 at home last year. Southmont leads the series 16-10 over the past 30 years. The last time Cloverdale played at Southmont, in 2016, Cooper Neese scored 53 points to set a Southmont gymnasium record.
