Wind Chill Advisory set for counties along, north of I-70

The National Weather Service office at Indianapolis has announced that a wind chill advisory is in effect tonight for counties along and north of I-70.

The advisory will be in effect from 11 p.m. Thursday to 1 p.m. Friday.

Wind chills are expected to reach as low as -22° overnight.

Minimize time outside and wear layers. Chilly weekend ahead and chances of snow with minimal accumulations.

In addition to Putnam, the counties included in the advisory area are Parke, Hendricks, Fountain, Montgomery, Boone,Vermillion, Carroll, Warren, Tippecanoe, Clinton, Howard, Tipton, Hamilton, Madison, Delaware, Randolph, Marion, Hancock and Henry.

The affected area includes the cities of Greencastle, Crawfordsville, Lebanon, Rockville, Plainfield, Brownsburg, Danville, Indianapolis, Greenfield, Delphi, Flora, Williamsport, Lafayette, West Lafayette, Frankfort, Kokomo, Attica, Covington, Veedersburg, Zionsville, Tipton, Fishers, Carmel, Noblesville, Anderson, Muncie, Clinton, Newport and New Castle.
