Frances ‘Fran’ Callahan

Frances “Fran” Juanita Callahan, 87, of Greencastle, formerly of Cloverdale, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019.

She was born Oct. 2, 1931 in Pensacola, Fla., the daughter of Charles David and Augustus Juanita (Christmas) Benton and was a graduate of Pensacola High School.

Fran was a homemaker and attended St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Diana) Callahan, Katie (Kenny) Cooper, James (Barb) Callahan and Patricia (Randy) Pittman; brother James Benton; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Callahan; son Thomas Callahan; her parents; and brother Charles Benton.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, June 18 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. on Tuesday until time of services at the funeral home.
