Kirkpatrick to present solar info at PCPL July 31
The public is invited to join solar expert Edward Kirkpatrick in an exploration of the world of solar power on Wednesday, July 31 at the Putnam County Public Library.
The presentation will include solar intallation pictures and information about R-value and insulation and solar survey information, as well as a discussion on types of solar energy, Photovoltaics (solar panels), solar systems and solar statistics.
Kirkpatrick is a retired U.S. Army software project leader from the U. S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) in Warren, Mich., and has managed the development of several major logistics software systems for the Army’s Future Combat Systems.
He has 33 years of experience developing and managing the development of computer software systems for the U.S. Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and the U.S. Army. He is a member of Castlemakers and has designed and installed a Photovoltaic solar system at his home in Greencastle.
Kirkpatrick currently works part time for ETA-International as a technical research and development consultant, and is certified as a Photovoltaic Level 2 installer. He is a published technical writer and has recently written technical articles for High Tech News Magazine.
