Billy L. ‘Bill’ Hice

Billy L. “Bill” Hice, 86, Staunton, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019.

He was born June 21, 1933 in Brazil to Albert F. Hice & Marjorie L. (Hauk) Hice.

Bill will be greatly missed by friends, relatives and acquaintances.

Bill grew up in Clay County in his younger years. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army.

Bill retired from IBM. He also farmed and raised hogs. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Elks, Centennial Masonic Lodge #541, and the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis.

Bill had also previously been a resident of Florida for 22 years.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, the love of his life, Shirley L. (Craig) Hice in May 1982, and his sister, Norma Diel.

He is survived by his wife, Paula (Fisher) Hice; his daughter, Rebecca Keen (Kevin); his sons, Albert Hice (Sandra) and Doug Hice (Doris); his grandchildren, Tony, Hallie, Jareb, Brandi and Matt; his great-grandchildren, Camaryn, Devin, Brandi, Tony, Mallory, Quentin and Josh; and his brother, Robert Hice.

Cremation will be accorded, and graveside services will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Neptune Society.
