Lou Ellen Knox

Lou Ellen Knox, age 75, of Poland, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019.

She was born Aug. 20, 1944 in Edmonson, Ky. to the late Blossie and Mamie (Miller) Whobrey.

Lou married Joseph Knox on Oct. 22, 1965 and he preceded her in death Feb. 8, 2012.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Ann Johnson of Lebanon, Elizabeth JoAnn Carroll of Poland, Richard Joe Knox of Poland, Ruthie Knox of Gosport and Edward Patrick Knox of Avon; sisters Sue Abney, Geraldine Gay and Martha Monroe; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

She is also preceded in death by her grandson Joseph Hord, brother Fredrick Whobrey and sister Oberta Combs.

Visitation for Lou will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14th, with funeral services starting at 1 p.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.
