GFD extends thanks for open house support

Monday, October 14, 2019

To the Editor:

The Greencastle Fire Department would like to extend a special “thanks” to the following supporters who contributed to the 19th annual open house event on Oct. 3, 2019.

We had a huge success this year!

The winners of the coloring, poster and art contests were recognized with ages ranging from pre-K to 12th grade.

Everyone in attendance enjoyed great food, games, bounce house, free face painting, entertainment from Patches the Pumper and fire prevention education through our “smokehouse” experience, station tours and turnout gear demos.

The success of this event could not have been possible without the generosity of those involved. Thank you again to everyone for supporting our efforts to educate our community to protect lives and safeguard property.

Supporters included: Jack Dalton Trust, Ashley Square Cinema, Banner Graphic, Big Bounce House Rentals, Big Splash Adventure, Buffalo Wild Wings, Burger King Restaurant, Chiyoda, Conner Prairie, Eitel’s Flowers and Gifts, First National Bank, Great Times Family Fun Park, Greencastle Community School Corp., Greencastle Parks and Recreation, Greencastle Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 5125, Heartland Automotive, Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Colts, Indianapolis Indians, Indianapolis Museum of Art, Kings Island, Kroger, Monical’s Pizza, Myers’ Market, New Hope Fellowship, Papa John’s Pizza, Putnam Inn, Royal Pin Bowling, Scoops Ice Cream, Service Master of Greencastle, Sky Zone Plainfield, Squire Boone Caverns and Village, Subway, Teachers Credit Union, Terre Haute Children’s Museum, The Cheesecake Factory, uPaint Pottery Studio, Walmart Store and WonderLab.
