Eva Mae Chadd

Eva M. Chadd, 87, of Danville, passed away on Friday, Oct. 25, 2019 at Hendricks County Hospital, Danville.

She was born in Greencastle on Dec. 21, 1931. She was the daughter of James Gilbert Chadd and Effie E. (Buis) (Chadd) Moore.

She attended Miller School and Greencastle Junior High and High School.

Eva worked for many years as a caregiver, both privately and for Home Health Care. While living in Cunot, she worked for quite a few years at the Cunot Community Senior Center. She was a longtime member of the Greencastle Women of the Moose Chapter 138.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Eva is survived by her five children, daughters Shirley Frye, Sheila Warren and Sandra Stillabower, and sons Johnny Waddell and Jesse McCown; sister Margaret (Chadd) Claxton; nephew Jeff Rushton (Linda); grandchildren including Lorraine (Robert) Dulin, Gaytanna (Andy) McGuire and Crystal (Mike) Gabbard; and great-grandchildren including Michael Mangus, Jessica and Robert Dulin, Keira and Connor McGuire and Julia, Addison and Mel Gabbard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Wayne Chadd, son James McCown and daughter Vickie Wilson.

Graveside services will be conducted at Clinton Falls Cemetery at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 13, for family and close friends only.

Care and arrangements have been entrusted to Bell Mortuary and Crematory, Indianapolis.
