Annual book sale ongoing at Putnam County Public Library

Tuesday, November 12, 2019

The annual Friends of the Putnam County Public Library holiday book sale began earlier this month and continues through Monday, Dec. 23.

The best books that have been donated throughout the year, including new books, signed books, rare and specialty books, are being sold. Those shopping for holiday gifts will also find book sets for sale.

All proceeds will go toward initiatives such as library programming, the Imagination Library and the library’s Halloween Party.

Anyone who loves the library and reading is invited to join the Friends of the Library for $25 a year.

A Friends’ membership means never paying overdue fees. Additionally, Friends are invited to special and exclusive events throughout the year.

Teens are also invited to come to the library from 5-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13 to learn about fire ink art. This simple craft includes use of alcohol inks and fire. Participants will be decorating a glass coaster to take home with them.

All materials are provided. Teens are more than welcome to bring their own clear glass materials.
