Larry Joseph Krieg

Larry Joseph Krieg, 65, of Greencastle, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital of Indianapolis.

Larry was born in New Bremen, Ohio on Dec. 1, 1954, the son of Lionel and Ruth (Hummel) Krieg, and was a graduate of New Bremen High School.

He worked for 45 years as a process technician for Crown Equipment Corporation.

Mr. Krieg was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. He enjoyed being outdoors, farming and, most of all, spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Sue Krieg; his children, David Krieg, James Krieg (wife Mindy), Lori Mitry (husband Mark) and Trisha Hancock (husband Chris); grandchildren, Joshua Krieg (Molly), Ashley Conkel (husband Dustin), Brandon Krieg (Ashley), Mina Krieg, Mallory Taylor (Nick), Madeleine Mitry, Jacob, Austin, Tyler and Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Jayson, Elijah, Sawyer, Octavia, Oaklyn, CamRon and Preston; brothers and sisters, Harold Krieg (wife Dorris), Pat Krieg, Jean Olberding (husband Ron), Marlene Long (husband John) and Marvin Krieg; and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two children, Mary Krieg and Jason Krieg.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Father John Hollowell officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.
