Ernest Dale ‘Pokey’ Phillips II

Ernest Dale “Pokey” Phillips II, 36, of Greencastle, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 7, 2020.

Born June 28, 1983 in Greencastle, he was the son of Ernest Dale “Ernie” and Debby (Parrish) Phillips.

Ernie Dale was a 2002 graduate of Greencastle High School and had attended Ivy Tech.

Ernie was a contractor, running his own car hauling business. He loved to fish, gardening and most of all spending time with his children.

He is survived by his children, Noah Curry, Abel Phillips and Presley Phillips; his parents, Ernie and Debby Phillips; brother Josh Phillips; sister Nichol (Jeremiah) Hubbell; mother of his children, Ashley Curry; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 12 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11 at the funeral home.
