While Gleaners Mobile Food Truck visits have gone to a drive-through model in the name of social distancing, a cold rain Saturday morning also makes it more convenient for clients to remain in their vehicles. The same can’t be said for the faithful volunteers, who load the vehicles like a well-oiled machine and with smiles that belie the weather. While Saturday’s event at Greencastle Christian Church was open to clients of all ages, when Gleaners returns to GCC on Thursday, it will be open only to those who are 55 years and older — the food truck stop that normally takes place at the Greencastle Armory. The next all-ages Gleaners event in the area will be from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, March 18 at the Bainbridge Community Center.
