Jack Duer Major

Jack Duer Major, 92, of Bainbridge, passed away on April 16, 2020.

Born in Huntington, he was the son of Ralph and Ruby (Bond) Major.

He was a 1945 graduate of Bainbridge High School.

He had served in the U.S. Army, operated the Bainbridge Marathon Service Station, retired from the Greencastle IBM and farming.

Jack was a member of the New Maysville Community Church.

He married Frances Robinson on Aug. 29, 1948 and she preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, sister, Helen, and brother, Lloyd.

He is survived by a daughter, Debra Wilson of Bainbridge, son Mark Major of Spencer and five grandchildren.

Private services will be held on Monday, April 20. Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
