Brazil Concert Band to highlight Sousa this Sunday

The Brazil Concert Band, under the direction of Matthew Huber, will stream its final online concert from its 2019 season on Sunday, June 28 at 8 p.m. from Huber’s YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCARUjaj3AcG7yGFOXr4e27w?view_as=subscriber.

Those interested may go to the YouTube channel and click the “Subscribe” button and the bell icon to receive notifications for the upcoming performance.

The last streaming performance, Marching Along with John Philip Sousa, is from Aug. 11, 2019. John Huber, elementary music teacher at North Central Parke, performs “Carnival of Venice” by Herbert Clarke on his euphonium, while the Covered Bridge Harmony a cappella group performs “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

For Facebook users, the concert will also be shown on Sunday, June 28 on the Brazil Concert Band’s Facebook page starting at 8 p.m.

The Brazil Concert Band will resume its live concerts on Sunday, July 5, with the first being held at 8 p.m. in the band shell or the pavilion (if rain) at Forest Park.

Live concerts will be held every Sunday night starting on July 5 and run through Aug. 30.
