How will things look at the 2020 4-H Fair?

Friday, July 10, 2020

• All 4-H’ers and 4-H volunteers will be required to wear a face covering while showing or helping. During times when you are not actively showing or helping and social distancing can be maintained, masks may be removed. We know that this is not ideal but we ask for your cooperation so we can move forward with our fair.

• To abide by the social distancing guidelines per the state, we are allowing three individuals per 4-H’er into the indoor arena during the time they are showing. After their class is released, we will ask all spectators to exit the building to allow for the next class.

• To allow ALL family and friends the ability to watch the show, Endeavor will again this year be either livestreaming or recording for later showing all shows. We don’t want anyone to miss out.

• All livestock and exhibit hall projects will have a virtual option for those who prefer. Please contact the Extension Office or barn superintendent for details.

• State Fair non-livestock projects will be virtual judging in 2020. If you should be selected during virtual judging as an ISF sweepstakes winner, you have the opportunity to take the exhibit to the State Fair on Saturday, Aug. 15 for a “Project Showcase” opportunity.

• Indiana State Fair-bound participants in livestock should visit https://d38trduahtodj3.cloudfront.net/files.ashx?t=fg&rid=IndianaStateFair&f=202...

With current changes in place, please contact Extension Office 653-8411, if there are special accommodations needed for a 4-H exhibitor or spectator.

• Foods: Projects may be dropped off starting at 8 a.m. Thursday morning and until 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon. All food containers must be disposable.

Starting Thursday, July 23, noon-9 p.m. and Friday, July 24 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., families will be able to pick up projects. Each 4-H’er’s projects will be together for easy pick up, so we ask that you please limit the number of individuals based on the size of projects.
