Doris J. Shuler

Doris J Shuler, 81, of Greencastle, passed away peacefully March 30, 2020 with family by her side.

She was born to the late Maudie and Claire Gorham, July 16, 1938 in Stilesville.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Robert Shuler, and son Brian Shuler.

She is survived by her sisters, Nancy Pinkerton of Biloxi, Miss., and Bonnie Davis of Grovertown, brothers, Steve Gorham, Putnamville, and Sam (Irene) Gorham, Rosedale.

She is also survived by her daughter, Korleen Gorham and son-in-law Rick of Coatesville, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Doris graduated from Stilesville High School in 1956 and cherished her role as cheerleader to the basketball team. She continued that role of encourager throughout her entire life.

She drove a school bus for Mill Creek Schools, was 4-H leader for Franklin Township, youth group leader at Stilesville Christian Church, managed apartment complexes around the state and active in Aglow International.

Most importantly she shared Jesus with everyone who crossed her path. Her love of Jesus, Heaven, people and life was contagious.

There will be a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 26 that New Life Baptist Church in Greencastle.

Finally, the family would like to thank the loving staff at Mill Pond for their care and compassion as well as the doctors and nurses that have cared for her over the past few years.
